Art Directing a Unique In-Store Experience

Challenge

Creating a video for a 5m high immersive cube in the Rolex store, Nagoya, Japan, spotlighting the iconic Daytona watch and its connection to motor racing.

Solution

Utilising archival race and watch footage provided by Rolex, we crafted a narrative intertwining the watch's movement with racing action. Storyboards outlined the editing process, approved by clients, then executed with editors and producers at Gramercy Park Studios. Due to distance, a virtual reality experience was developed for client approval. The project was completed within a tight deadline for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Result

The immersive experience debuted successfully during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, earning client satisfaction. Subsequently, our team was commissioned to create another experience for the 2024 Watchmaking campaign.
