House Beautiful

Interior Style shoot

Transforming Spaces for the magazines style feature

Challenge

Each issue of House Beautiful presents an interior style feature, which is shot over multiple days in a curated location house. With a themed ambiance crafted by set builders and interior stylists, my task was to make sure that we got all the shots needed to tell the story and compositions that worked for the magazine layouts.

SolutioN

Located in South London, our chosen location house served as the canvas for a symphony of textures and rich colors, expertly curated by our stylist and set builders. Ensuring seamless execution, we handpicked a photographer renowned for her ability to capture intricate details. With a mandate to produce a 7-page feature, a captivating cover, and engaging social media assets, attention to detail was paramount and I had make sure the compositions worked for the magazine allowing space for copy and headlines. Post-shoot, meticulous retouching ensured that every image exuded the vibrancy of colours and textures and that no set build was visible.

Result

The resulting style feature graced the pages of the magazine, earning accolades for its visual allure. The rich palette and textures resonated beautifully in print, marking this project as one of the highlights of my tenure at the magazine.
